Qualified Homecare Assistants in Limerick
Myhomecare are recruiting for reliable and compassionate Healthcare or Homecare Carers in Limerick City Area and the Surrounding Areas to work on a one to one basis with the Elderly in their own home.
For this job, the ideal candidate will have experience in a healthcare or homecare setting with fluency in the English language - both written and verbal. This job will require someone who is personable, friendly, caring and wants to make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable people in our community.

What are the requirements for this Homecare Carer job in Limerick Area:
- We require you to have a minimum of a Fetac/QQI Level 5 in Care Skills and Care of the Older Person completed
- All candidates must have a minimum of 120 hours experience working in a Healthcare or Homecare setting
- All candidates must be willing to undergo Garda Vetting
- All candidates must need an in-date certificates such as Patient Moving and Handling, CPR, Infection Control and Elder Abuseis desirable but not essential as training can be provided
- Full vaccination history required which must include Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella (chicken pox) and Hep C
- Visa or GNIB with stamp 4 if from outside the EU
- Full driving licence preferred but not essential depending on location
The responsibilities for this Homecare Worker job in the Limerick Area:
- Providing personal care to each individual client in their own home
- Aid with all aspects of daily living
- Reporting any deterioration in client’s condition
- Providing companionship to the client
- Motivate the client to maximise or achieve independence
