Dedicated PVD Process Engineer

Polyteknik AS is expanding and we therefore need a process engineer to our process team. The overall tasks of the pro-cess team are to develop, test, and optimize PVD thin film processes and software on our customized systems. The job involves a wide range of tasks and involvement with co-workers and customers in an international environment.
Polyteknik AS develops, manufactures, sells and services PVD thin film systems that are delivered to R&D institutes and industry customers within the semiconductor, mems, sensors or related Energy/ICT business mainly in Europe.
Your Tasks
• Preparation of the PVD systems’ processes to perform the factory acceptance test, as well as subsequent release of the systems for shipment and installation
• Independent process related commissioning of systems at the costumer’s site until final site acceptance test
• Development and verification of PVD thin film processes
• Provide customers with superior technical support in relation to trouble shooting or optimizing the PVD processes and equipment
Your Profile
• University degree in physics, engineering, material science or similar technical/scientific discipline
• Interest in programming and experience with C# is preferred, Matlab or similar is also acceptable
• Detailed, systematic, and accurate in performing your work is a must
• Analytic approach to problem solving
• Experience with vacuum systems is advantageous
• Highly skilled in written and spoken English
• Ability to communicate efficiently and service-minded with customers and suppliers
