Hørsholm, 1 stilling

We are seeking a highly motivated and independent postdoctoral fellow to join an ongoing project at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability (DTU Biosustain), to work on quantitative analysis of Escherichia coli phosphoproteome. The aim of the project is the reconstruction of the kinase-based regulatory network underlying metabolic adaptation.

Responsibilities and tasks

Successful candidate will join an interdisciplinary team, which currently combines the expertise in proteomics, protein phosphorylation, bacterial physiology and mathematical modelling of biological systems. The candidate will be required to independently carry out quantitative proteome and phosphoproteome measurements on Q-Exactive and Fusion instruments available at the DTU proteomics platform, and perform the associated data analyses. Further, the candidate will be expected to interface with molecular biologists regarding sample preparation, and with the modelling experts regarding data interpretation and integration.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a PhD degree or equivalent.

The candidate should:

•have documented extensive experience (publications) with current methods of mass spectrometry-based proteomics

•be fluent in written and spoken English, and capable of writing research papers independently

•be capable of working in an interdisciplinary working environment

Experience in phospho-proteomics and working with bacteria would be considered as a bonus, but it is not an absolute prerequisite. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong publication record.
