Plant Quality Engineer (m/f)

Your responsibilities:

  • Handling supplier and internal complaints for the Echternach plant
  • Supporting the incoming inspection of the materials
  • Leading 8D teams to solve the quality issues by conducting root-cause investigations, controlling implementation of containment, corrective and preventative measures
  • Auditing production processes for compliance to VDA 6.3 and IATF 16949
  • Maintaining and developing plant quality documentation compliant with the standards requirements
  • Supporting the quality laboratory’s and electronic laboratory’s compliance with the quality standards and 5S
  • Reporting KPI’s and project results
  • Evaluating quality and production data and initiating activities to minimize quality risks and quality costs
  • Tracking, analyzing and reporting using SPC tools, 8D, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Providing guidance, support and technical assistance to quality inspectors and production team
  • Continuous learning and enlargement of job knowledge

Your profile:

  • University degree in a technical field
  • Good knowledge of quality processes and relevant performance indictors
  • Good knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3
  • Good knowledge of the quality and problem-solving tools such as 8D, FMEA, Ishikawa and others
  • Basic knowledge of SPC tools
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to read and understand technical prints, drawings and production specifications
  • Experience with manufacturing process controls, equipment inspections, auditing, process improvement and analysis
  • Experience in electronics production and in the automotive industry is an asset
  • Knowledge and experience in practical application of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and techniques is an asset
  • Excellent MS Office skills and a basic SAP, Minitab and database knowledge
  • Strong problem solving, decision making and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication, organizational and team working skills
  • Fluency in English and good German (at least B1) skills
