A PhD position is available in the group of Jan Rossmeisl in the group of theoretical catalysis,  Nano-Science Center, Department of Chemistry, University of Copenhagen.

Project description:

The project is a part of an international collaboration involving companies and university. The goal is to develop materials for electrocatalytic reduction of CO2 to chemicals. The work on University of Copenhagen is computational, applying and developing state of the art electronic structure simulations tools and analysis. There will be a close collaboration with the experimental and industrial partners in the project.



Start: Early 2016



Duration: 3 years

 

Terms of employment

The position will be filled according to the agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The post is covered by the Protocol on Job Structure. Minimum monthly salary is DKK 25,555.55 (taxable) + pension contribution.

Suitable Candidates

We expect you to be a highly motivated and ambitious scientist with the following qualifications:

·         A master degree in Physics, Chemistry or related fields with a good result.

·         Documented experience in computational chemistry/physics 

·         The candidate should be able to work both independently and within an international, cross-disciplinary group and supervise students.

·         Excellent written and spoken English is mandatory.
