We in Energy Services, Project Sales and Support are looking for a Proposal Manager (or Engineer depending on your experience) to join the Service Projects - Proposal Management team. The position is permanent and preferred location for this position is in Finland. Our offices are located in Vaasa, Helsinki & Turku. Other locations can be considered.



What You Will Be Doing



As a Proposal Manager / Engineer, you will be responsible for the preparation of proposal packages in order to achieve defined sales targets.



Your work will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Cooperate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure the functionality of proposed technical solutions and to ensure that proposed solution fulfils customer requirements and needs
  • Prepare cost calculations according to directives and agreed targets
  • Building the proposal package with needed documentation as required by the specific opportunity, including risk management
  • Together with the Sales responsible person, screen and prioritize inquires and give inputs to opportunity information in CRM
  • Be actively involved in sales teams
  • Participate in sales meetings with customers when required

     

To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

  • MSc or BSc in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil engineering or similar
  • Driven with a positive open attitude & willingness to learn and grow professionally
  • Ability to solve problems and find alternative solutions when required
  • Ability to think value is seen as a valuable asset
  • Team working skills
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken. Other language skills are considered as a benefit.
  • Previous experience in technical sales, technical support tasks and/or project/site management tasks are seen as a valuable asset
  • Knowledge and experience of Wärtsilä power plants, products and solutions are seen as an advantage
  • Ability to travel as required
