Java Developer (Road Logistics)

Job Description

• Development of Java-based Transport Management System for road logistics, test-cases and applications
• Work collaboratively on the definition, specification and design of modular and integrated software and systems
• Deliver functional as well as technical documentation
• Interact with a team of software architects and framework developers as well as local and international development teams
• Usage of frameworks and technical components based on Java
• System maintenance, support for application rollouts and operations

Requirements to Candidates

• Academic degree of computer sciences or equivalent education/knowledge
• Practical knowledge in design and development of complex software components and business applications
• Practical experience with the implementation of Java-based enterprise applications; competent knowledge of Hibernate, JPA, Java, Spring, JUnit and understanding of SOA paradigm
• Knowledge of Java Swing, Java FX and experience with ESB are beneficial
• Profound knowledge of current tools and frameworks such as Subversion, Maven, Jenkins
• Proven skills in object-oriented modelling and software design using UML
• Ability to maintain and enhance existing software components, applications and systems
• Experience of agile projects are desirable 
• High self-motivation, outstanding team player, willing to take over responsibility, interested in current trends and topics in the field of software development
• Fluent written and spoken English (German would be a plus)
