Detailed Description
Face diverse global design and modelling tasks
In this internship, you join the Systems Design department at FLSmidth Air Pollution Control in Valby. Together, we are responsible for all industrial plant design equipment and layouts in connection with electrostatic precipitators and bag filters for cement plants and other industries. As such, we help mitigate pollution and ensure clean air on sites around the world. On a day-to-day basis, you work alongside 15 dedicated and supportive colleagues, and you will be sure to develop both on a personal and professional level, as you:
· Develop layouts and 3D-modelling in relation to major installations
· Help clarify the scope of projects and collect information in cooperation with an experienced colleague, our sales department and the client in question
· Join client meetings to decide on the shape and contents of projects, enabling you to make a layout and 3D-models of plants
· Face a variety of interesting design and modelling tasks, as we operate with plant design equipment such as ducts, supports, access, fans, dampers, dust transport, weather enclosure etc.
As intern at FLSmidth, you work 37 hours a week for about 5 months (depending on your studies). The internship is unpaid if you qualify for the Danish students' Grants and Loans Scheme.
Job Requirements
AutoCAD talent and communicative skills
Personally, you are looking forward to using your talent and newly acquired skills on real-world projects. Here, you will cooperate closely with colleagues and clients on a global scale, so you get to use your communicative skills both internally and externally. Really, this is a perfect opportunity to prepare for your future career, if you:
· Are skilled in AutoCAD 3D-modelling, so you can draw and do layouts, and if you know of surveying and 3D-scanning that is a plus
· Are studying some form of engineering, e.g. Plant Engineer, Mechanical Engineer or Civil Engineer
· Speak and write English effortlessly
