Do you want to bring your experience and knowledge into use when leading a team responsible for financial reporting? If yes, then this position at Total in Esbjerg office might be your match!



Key Responsibilities

As Head of Controlling & Reporting in the Finance department, you will be able to shape and develop a central role with great influence when leading 3 direct reports and 2 consultants ensuring high quality reporting and analysis for HQ, Local Management and other stakeholders for four legal entities. You will get to use your knowledge and experience applying a range of techniques ensuring that all reporting complies with legal, SEC and Total group reporting standards.



Overall, you have the responsibility of planning, supervising and controlling the reporting of all corporate financial activities of the upstream operating legal entities in Denmark.  



These areas of responsibilities will include tasks such as:

Monthly, Quarterly & Annual EP, Group Financial reporting and Management reporting:

  • Ensure proper reporting, in high quality and on time.
  • Review and validate taxes (ATR)
  • Review and validate the reporting for Galaxy and CAP (Financial statements and ICP and note information)
  • Review and validate Galyz (analysis submitted for HQ)
  • Review and validate the KPI report for HQ and Management (analysis and commentary)
  • Review and validate the reporting for CAP
  • Support HQ in various other requirements for financial data (forecasts, analysis, method) and quarries
  • Ensure the proper accounting and reporting classifications according to IFRS/USGAAP/Group requirements

EP PDC and Budget Reporting:

  • Review and validate the Budget in Galaxy/Galyz
  • Review/prepare Conso graph and presentation for HQ incl. various analysis

Internal and external audits:

  • Ensure SOX compliance related to the reporting responsibility
  • Provide support for the External Auditors (Coordinate timing and expectations with the auditors and ensure proper documentation is prepared for the auditors, answer any quarries)

Other requirements:

  • Preparation and support to Annual Statutory accounts – reporting for TEPDK (EBJ), TDP, TDASW, TDASWP
  • Supports Total Holding Inc. with US reporting of TDASW and TDASWP
  • Review and validate reporting towards the Danish Energy board and Denmark’s Statistics,
  • Projects – Participation or lead on various Finance and Business projects
  • EMT (Emergency Team contact for Finance)
  • Define processes and develop tools for controlling activities

Your background

  • Minimum a Financial master’s degree;
  • More than 10 years practical experience from an Accounting or Controlling function or auditing firm;
  • General interest in oil & gas sector and business-related matters;
  • Proficiency in oral and written English.
