Then we might have an exciting opportunity for you as Head of Hardware at Oticon Medical. You will be based in our HQ in Smørum, near Copenhagen.



At Oticon Medical we develop both bone-anchored hearing systems and cochlear implants. Management of high-tech, innovative hearing solutions



In your new job you will be part of Oticon Medical’s R&D organization consisting of 3 development sites; Smørum in Denmark, Gothenburg in Sweden, and Vallauris on the French Rivera. You main responsibility will be to build, develop and lead the sound processor hardware development within Oticon Medical. Thus you will play a key role in shaping our future products, and we expect you to have a well-defined opinion of our products.



You are responsible for ensuring that we have the competences and people required in order to deliver on our overall ambitious plan and keep the momentum of our growth.



You will be manager of a dedicated team, and it is your responsibility to grow and develop the team. Besides this, you will be project manager of various development projects within sound processors.



You have interfaces with senior project management and functional management as well as other departments and platform development teams at Oticon as well as external partners and subcontractors.



Your key responsibilities include:



People management

Play an active part in defining the strategy and goals for the area

Project planning and execution - from early concept phase to release

Ensuring that deliveries comply to medical, regulatory and internal quality requirements

Delivery and review of product development specifications

Pro-active stakeholder management - both to internal and to external partners or subcontractors

Leadership and motivation of the people working in the project or contribute to the project



People and Project Manager with a proven track record



In order for you to be a success in this job, it is vital that you have documented experience from similar jobs, preferably from a company within the area of medical devices. You are a strong people and project manager, and you have achieved excellent results within both areas.



Furthermore, we expect you to hold a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in combination with at least 5 years’ of professional experience from the above-mentioned areas.



Fluency in English is mandatory.
