Founded in 2013 by two good friends, Indie Campers has set its mission on democratizing road trips by enhancing travel experiences and lowering prices for millions of travelers worldwide. Lisbon Office

Our Lisbon office is located in the city center, known for its beautiful landscape, history and vibrant cultural scene. It is a place where our Central Operations, Marketing, Revenue, Product & Technology, Finance, HR and Business Development teams sit together, co-create and solve challenges innovatively together while learning in a “casual environment with responsibility”, with talent of all backgrounds and nationalities.

Fleet Strategy 

The Indie Campers Fleet Strategy team is responsible for fleet planning, acquisition, financing, infleeting (eg. registration, insurance) and lifecycle management within one of our main business units across Europe and US. Our commitment, problem-solving approach, strategic thinking and daily execution plays a critical role for the achievement of excellent results from a customer satisfaction, cost efficiency, and fleet perspectives.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly dedicated new member for our Fleet Strategy Team in our HQ in Lisbon, who is inspired by Indie Campers mission of democratizing roadtrips, with a proven track-record of achieving ambitious targets. This is a highly demanding but also highly rewarding role for personal development and growth, as you will be exposed to an environment of great responsibility from day 1.

As a Fleet Strategy Associate you will be responsible to ensure that all fleet requirements are met to ultimately infleet our vehicles on-time and with best terms and conditions to increase our customer satisfaction (you ensure that our vehicles can be operated as per planned timeline and within budget). This includes to secure fleet financing, negotiate auto insurance, plan and execute vehicle registration, procure vehicle equipment (eg GPS devices) and support negotiations with our OEMs. To achieve this, you build mechanisms to control and monitor such efforts and focus to work closely with both, internal and external stakeholders to establish long-term relationships. 

What you´ll do: 

  • Own vehicle infleet planning, execution, monitoring and controlling including vehicle registration and importing thereby working cross-functionally with Fleet Operations, Finance and Legal in Europe 
  • Negotiate and secure fleet financing with best terms and conditions and work with financing partners to establish long-term relationship 
  • Improve auto insurance products by analysing and negotiating conditions with insurance companies across Europe
  • Own procurement of vehicle equipment with various suppliers across Europe and coordination with Fleet Operations (eg, GPS devices or tents)
  • Support Fleet Strategy team to build relationships with local OEMs, financing and equipment suppliers and take over key account management for some of them
  • Drive process improvements by analysing and preparing relevant data and information so that processes are improved and monitored constantly with highest standards 
  • Research, monitor, control and execute regulatory and fleet tax responsibilities on an ongoing base to ensure compliance 

 

Who you are: 

  • 1-3 years of experience in strategic operations, planning, procurement and/or logistics; background in high growth environment in a multi-national company is a plus 
  • Strong hands-on mentality and bias for action to execute on-time
  • Comfortable in interacting with both, internal and external stakeholders 
  • Analytical skills with affinity towards conducting detailed investigation and ability to coordinate workload
  • A track record of creating and driving effective and scalable operational improvements with high bar of quality
  • Driven by outperforming yourself while being comfortable with change, being resourceful, and constantly curious to learn
  • Natural commercial mindset, with exceptional great communication, emotional intelligence and sales skills
  • Self-starter with great desire to learn/develop and ability to take on tasks independently while being a great team-player
  • Fluent in English (both written and verbal), German is a strong plus
