This is your opportunity to join a dedicated team of professionals and become an important part of the construction of the Femern Belt Tunnel.

We are currently looking for an experienced Site Engineer to our site in Rødbyhavn.

Who is FLC?

Femern Link Contractors, FLC, is the joint venture responsible for the design and construction of the immersed tunnel, tunnel portals and ramps. Our joint venture consists of nine international construction companies with individual experience in large infrastructure projects.

Together, we are committed to working together to deliver a state-of-the-art immersed tunnel, portals and ramps, delivered on time and safely, in a sustainable and ethical manner.

Main responsibilities:

The Site Engineer will prepare, control and improve the Ballast Concrete Works and the Bulkheads works. Those works are made in exceptional constrained environment. You will be in charge of:

  • Procurement of subcontracted packages.
  • Preparing the Method Statements, Site Layouts, sequencing works together with a draughts men/women, the design team, the plant team, the survey and the HSQE team.
  • Preparing detailed program, mobilization plan and budget control together with the general foreman/woman and the design team.
  • Preparing design input for designer.
  • When necessary, representing FLC at weekly meetings with subcontractors and control of the subcontract requirements, including program, quality control, reporting and safety.
  • Controlling reports and reporting on monthly basis on quality, work progress and budget.
  • Control in line and inspections.
  • Preparing modifications (methods statement, procurement, etc.) of the works to improve safety/quality/planning/cost.
  • If you have knowledge and/or interest in Large Slab concreting, Designed on-purpose equipments and tool, and Steel structures it is a plus.

Key skills:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Civil (Bridge or Tunnel) works. As a plus:

  • Working in constrained environment experience.
  • Steel works experience.
  • Logistics issues experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in work preparation and coordination of designers and procurement.
  • Technical skills must be at the level in which assignments can be independently executed with minimal guidance or training.

Personal qualities:

  • B.s. Civil / Structural engineering.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Like challenges
  • Ability to effectively communicate both orally and written at all organizational levels
  • Ability to work with several transversal teams and to reassess and modify work, decision and goals accordingly.
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative team player.
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
  • Due to the many different technical subjects regarding the Bulkheads and the Ballast Concrete, ability to handle the various aspects of the works even if they are not part of own experience, and to take own responsibility.
  • Fluent in English - spoken as well as written
