Experienced Medical Communication Scientist/Medical Writer
LEO Pharma is looking for a person with strong medical writing skills and a talent for project management to join our team of Medical Communication Scientists and Clinical Trial Disclosure Managers.
Medical Communication Scientists are responsible for driving, developing, and writing clinical documentation and supporting marketing authorisation applications as well as implementing best practices for these activities. As the responsible Medical Communication Scientist in clinical development projects, and as the lead author of large complex documents that involve both internal and external writers, you will ensure that scientifically robust messages and arguments are developed and conveyed consistently throughout the clinical programme.
In this position, you will have a unique opportunity to influence and shape the way we approach our medical documentation activities. The position will call for your ability to take initiatives and work independently in an environment with high standards and goals.
The preferred candidate
You hold a degree in health or biological science (for example human biology, medical doctor, biology, veterinarian).
You have hands on experience in preparing regulatory documents, such as clinical study reports, IBs, PIPs, clinical overviews and summaries. Experience in leading the clinical documentation process in regulatory applications is advantageous.
You have good project management skills and enjoy driving cross-functional projects and processes to completion. You pay attention to details, are observant of timelines, and ensure timely delivery of high quality results.
You have a superb command of both written and spoken English, strong communication skills, and an appreciation of well written documents.
You possess personal drive and a “can-do” attitude which enables you to reach out for challenges and responsibilities. You have excellent cooperation skills and can establish professional relations, both internally and externally, and you take an open and positive attitude towards tasks and in discussions.
About Medical Communication
In Medical Communication you will join a group of 10 skilled and energetic colleagues. We are part of the International Medical Department that also includes Clinical Pharmacology and Medical Science Dermatology. We are driven by a high level of integrity and a passion for science. Team engagement is a natural part of the way we work.
Medical Communication has two primary deliverables:
• to provide professional and strategic medical writing expertise to development projects
• to ensure compliance with external and internal requirements for disclosure of clinical trial information
We are a relatively newly established team and you will therefore take an active role in building and developing the professional medical communication/writing function in LEO Pharma.
