Novo Nordisk’s European Market Access Graduate Programme is the perfect springboard to kick-start your career within the pharmaceutical industry. It is a 2-year programme designed to develop the next generation of market access talent and leaders at Novo Nordisk. We do this by accelerating your development through rotations in different market access departments at headquarters and around Europe, supported by access to mentors and training. It is a great opportunity to gain international experience and make a difference in one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies. You will have the opportunity to use your master’s degree or PhD from 2015 or 2016 ensuring patients have access to our drugs on terms that are sustainable both for our company, and for society.
The European Market Access Graduate Programme
Enrolment in Novo Nordisk’s European Market Access Graduate Programme will give you broad experience within market access and public affairs. Ultimately giving you the opportunity to cover both strategic and operational aspects of market access—maintaining access for current products and securing market access for new medicines in Europe. Throughout the programme you will build a wide range of market access competencies, including market access management, public affairs insights & influence, pricing & contracting, health economics value generation, and field market access/stakeholder engagement.

The areas of expertise where you will gain invaluable experience include:
Understanding the health care and reimbursement systems in Europe
Product and therapeutic knowledge within diabetes and biopharmaceuticals
Generation and implementation of market access insights and strategies
Key account management and execution of account plans
Develop Health Technology Assessments and price & reimbursement dossiers
Master health economics & outcomes research methods and techniques
Translate data into messages that communicates value
Drive pricing management and processes to monitor price developments
Identify and understand external stakeholders to develop “win-win” solutions

The European Market Access Graduate Programme is a 2-year journey consisting of three 8-month rotations within market access
One rotation in Global Market Access at our Corporate Headquarter in Copenhagen, Denmark contributing to strategy and value communication development, health economic analysis and data generation, and/or strategic pricing management;
One rotation in our regional European office in Zürich, Switzerland where you will gain further understanding of market access—bridging global strategies with local needs as well as securing functional collaboration with commercial excellence, business information, and clinical/medical departments.
One rotation in a European affiliate/business area gaining hands-on experience with external market access stakeholder engagement and collaboration.
Global opportunities
After successfully completing the programme you will have the necessary professional and personal skills to embark on a career in Novo Nordisk in, for example, a permanent position in field market access or office-based positions such as Market Access & Public Affairs Manager, Pricing Manager, or Health Economics & Outcomes Research Manager.
Qualifications
You have a 2015 or 2016 master’s degree or PhD in relevant areas, e.g. (health) economics, public health, pharmacy, or business administration. You must possess effective oral and written communication skills, and you are fluent in both oral and written English. You have an international mind-set and are a team-player.
