Engineer for Technical Design of LEGO Bricks

Negotiate your way to optimal technical design of the LEGO Bricks As part of Technical Element Design (TED) Novelty Design, you focus on developing the technical part of new LEGO Bricks needed for new LEGO Models. Here, you are the link between designers and production, and your role is to use your technical skills and experience to achieve the optimal technical design of the LEGO Bricks using CAD. You will play an integral role in development projects where you: Contribute with technical expertise regarding development of bricks with respect to ensuring Design for Manufacturing balanced with the needed technical creativity Identify the best production setup based on both technical and financial considerations in close cooperation with a Technical Project Manager Ensure that specifications are made and live up to company standards to secure quality and form a solid basis for the production Create the CAD foundation and carry out the technical documentation Interpret and implement quality requirements, as product safety is key Changing the world - brick by brick You will join a company where we strive to inspire, motivate and engage children around the world. Talented CAD enthusiast with an understanding of technical product Development You have a passion for finding and developing great technical solutions. Using your collaborative nature and understanding of manufacturing issues in relation to moulding of plastic parts, you are able to engage in dialogues between design and production to bring about the optimal technical design solutions. You are preferable: - An Engineering or draftsman within mechanics, plastic materials or moulding technology - Experienced within injection moulding, plastic materials and/or product development and design - Aware of the effort needed to create high quality products/parts from a technical point of view - In possession of a talent for creating great technical and well documented solutions - Communicate well in English - both in speech and writing.
