About this job

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to maintain and develop our automated continuous integration and deployment setup, as well as day to day operations of our AWS-based infrastructure. We have a microservice-based architecture and run 200-300 instances. We’re moving to Docker and service-discovery, trying to stay focused on how to deliver the best environment for our developers and have a rock-solid platform for our users.



Responsibilities

•Configuration management (using Ansible and custom scripts)

•Continuous integration and deployment (using Jenkins)

•Support developers in software packaging (usually Debian packages)

•Manage our AWS-based infrastructure as well as other resources

•Monitoring and on-call duties (using Nagios)



Requirements

•Fundamental knowledge of servers/computers hardware, networks and software.

•1-3 years of relevant work experience maintaining Linux-based infrastructure

•Experience developing with Shellscript, and Python.

•Experience in Debian packaging tools.

•Experience building and maintaining an AWS stack, including (but not limited to) Route53, EC2, VPC, S3, and IAM.

•Experience administering distributed UNIX-style systems in AWS.

•Experience Installing, configuring, updating, and troubleshooting services like Nginx, HaProxy, Postgres, MySQL, Redis, RabbitMQ.

•Experience building or working with continuous delivery and deployment pipelines, automated build systems (Jenkins), and automated provisioning system (Ansible).

•Able to build, test, maintain and tune systems in high availability clusters.

•Able to collaborate in a DevOps environment where you will work closely with software developers, QA, support and product owners/managers.

•Able to be part of a roster for handling operational incidents after normal work hours.

•Excellent problem solving skills with a desire to take on responsibility.

•Excellent written & verbal communication skills with ability to communicate technical issues to nontechnical & technical audiences.
