The organization

The Global IT team delivers core infrastructure, user workplaces, and business applications across all business units at William Demant. William Demant have during many years established an Enterprise Data Warehouse solution that is under constant growth and change and is a central and strategic part of the business. The BI team consists of 3 people and have during many years built up our current BI landscape consisting of both Data Warehouse and Reporting solutions.

The role

Your focus as Data Warehouse Consultant will be together with the BI team to maintain the current Data Warehouse as well as participate in defining the direction, roadmap and strategy for our Data Warehouse. Your daily tasks will be to secure our existing solution is performing and delivering needed data to the business as well as improving our solutions and look at new technology and new more efficient ways of working. You will play a technical role and work with the rest of the BI team to deliver a well-architected and scalable Data Warehouse. This role will also formalize standards and best practices for the Data Warehouse, data management and integration technologies.



Your profile

You have been working with Data Warehouses or databases for the last 3-5 years and you enjoy working in a high pace environment with highly engaged colleagues. You like working with the details in securing that all things are working as expected, but you also have a strategic mindset in participating in setting the long-term roadmap for our solution.

We are a Microsoft house and you are well into the technologies of SQL Server (primarily SSIS and T-SQL) and ETL processes. Experience with SSRS and SSAS will be seen as an advantage. Preferably, you have experience from other mid to large-scale enterprise solutions and understand the importance of a well-performing Data Warehouse in a global enterprise like William Demant.

You have a relevant background with a technical focus and your career to date has brought you into a deep understanding of relational databases and Data Warehouses. You have a natural interest in technology and what happens on the technology market and are able to turn new concepts into real solutions.
