As a Data Architect for data modelling, you manage your own part of a change initiative with many stakeholders and secure sufficient focus on business functional requirements for our solutions.
You facilitate stakeholder collaboration and provide technical and business knowledge for the development of our Data Warehouse and Data Marts, decision proposal or study.
The position we offer
The Data Warehouse & Business Intelligence team is responsible for providing the BI platform for Capital Markets in Nordea. Our overall goal is to develop and provide the best solution for Business Intelligence and Analytics in Capital Markets.
You will work closely together with the business product owners and business SME’s to understand, define and detail business requirements for the Business Intelligence platform and to define the appropriate data designs and models.
Some of your responsibilities are therefore, among others, to work together with technical teams in order to understand the source data, transformations applied to source data and define the requirements for ETL solutions to populate the data warehouse. You will therefore be the vital part of transforming source data to meet the needs from the business by using dimensional data models.

As our new Data Architect, we expect you to
- Have a strong analytical mind-set
- Have strong experience in Dimensional Modelling and in general data modelling
- Have a keen interest in understanding our business domain
- Be a strong communicator with business and be a bridge builder between business and IT.
- Experience with database technology like Oracle and SQL
- Know how the design can impact the performance
- Being able to take lead on our tasks
- Be part of an informal team where we work agile and take pride in providing a great service for your colleagues and our stakeholders, but not least also have fun
- Be independent and self-motivated, you always seek to develop yourself and strive to go from good to great, yet you are a strong team player
