  • It takes the brightest minds to be a technology leader. It takes imagination to create green energy for the generations to come. At Siemens Gamesa we make real what matters, join our global team.

Siemens Gamesa has a vision for renewable energy: we believe in the power of nature and technology. Help us to be ready to face the energy challenges of tomorrow and make a green footprint – join the team in creating a better future for us on our planet.

We focus on hiring the best people, wherever they may be in the world. We pride ourselves on the flexibility we offer to our employees and are committed to building a workforce that can grow with the company. Siemens Gamesa is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

In our culture of trust, we focus on empowerment, diversity and continuous learning. Valuing our people is what makes us one global team, with our colleagues’ safety at the heart of our organization.

You’ll be working in our Offshore Engineering department focusing on all our equipment necessary to handle our components such as towers, blades, nacelles and much more. We have a lot of stakeholders internally, who are all dependent on our equipment to be done on time and in the right quality. For this position, it’s important that we know exactly how to move our components around on the different harbours around the world, without risking that we’ll experience clashes with buildings, light masts, other components etc. The entire logistics should be made digitally before it will ever see the real world. This digital layout should be as close to reality as possible. Our installation vessels are very expensive to rent, so we need everything to be perfect and planned.

How to contribute to our vision

This department is only for CAD designers located in our Vejle office, which is placed in the centrum of Vejle. The team consists of 11 designers with different specialties and a team lead. The department is placed within our Equipment organization consisting of engineers, project managers and CAD designers.

Your responsibilities in this position will be:

    • Creation of simplified lightweight models in NX. This could be everything from big installation vessels to small lifting brackets, showing only what’s necessary
    • Creation of a realistic harbour containing both buildings, light masts etc. to make sure we know every little detail before moving around our components
    • Creation of 3D harbour in NX for all the specific projects
    • Creation of load out & Installation drawings
    • Performing digital logistics to make sure we can handle and move around our components
    • Creating lifting sequences from quay site to installation vessel
    • Furthermore, you will work as a buffer for the sales projects, meaning that in busy periods, you will assist the projects with day-to-day tasks

What you need to make a difference

Passion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change. We are also looking for a strong CAD designer with lots of experience and the mind for developing and optimizing our way of working. We prefer that you have experience with NX, but most importantly is that you have a strong background working with CAD in general. The following criteria’s is necessary to fulfill this position:

    • Minimum 7 years of experience with CAD related software, preferably NX.
    • You are an outgoing self-starter and proactively take initiative.
    • You work well in both team setting and independently.
    • You have a result-oriented approach to your work and have excellent communication skills
    • Fluent in reading, writing and verbal English

In return of your commitment we offer you…

Become a part of our mission for sustainability: Clean energy for generations to come. We are a global team of diverse colleagues who share a passion for renewable energy and have a culture of trust and empowerment to make our own ideas a reality. We focus on personal and professional development to grow internally within our organization. Siemens Gamesa offers a wide variety of benefits such as flexible working hours as well as home-office possibility for many colleagues, employer-funded pension, attractive remuneration package (fixed/variable) and local benefits such as subsided lunch, employee discounts and much more
