Department SCADA Operations is part of Regional operations in EMEA area and supports the organization in selling, installing and servicing a large number of SCADA systems controlling medium and large sized wind power plants across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Our customers can mainly be found among larger power supply companies and professional investors.
The Business Development Engineer is a key role to enhance and strengthen the perception of the SCADA capabilities through all the stakeholders involved in the service stage of a wind power plant, provide aligned economic feedback on standard and non-standard SCADA solutions and support the service business development.
In close contact with the Service department, key account responsible and business development partners, you should be able to provide detailed technical description and documentation of any SCADA solution included in the standard SCADA product portfolio.
You should also be able to analyse the requirements from the customers for new features on SCADA solutions already in operation and, with the help from the SCADA Engineers in the region, provide well documented solutions to meet them, to the extent possible.
Responsibilities
The Business Development Engineer
Identify and develop new SCADA service offerings
Process all requests for new products and functionalities for wind power plants under operation
Provide technical description and documentation of the proposed solution to the requestor in cooperation with SCADA Engineers and Specialists
Key point of contact for sales business units project manager for implementation of Service Offerings
Provide economical quotation and estimation of working hours, material and traveling needed for the proposed solutions
Analyse the whole fleet of SCADA systems in the region and elaborate proposals for improvement and business development to the service sales and business development partners; Business case analysis
To be the direct link between sales business units and Product Management in terms of SCADA
Participate in customer meetings to explain solutions and get customer’s requirements and feedback Qualifications
The successful candidate:
An Engineering degree or similar
Understanding and knowledge of SCADA and automation systems
Knowledge on power generation, electrical infrastructure and electrical equipment is an advantage
Competencies:
