is seeking an Attendant for the laboratory

About Danstem

The Danish Stem Cell Center (DanStem) is the Novo Nordisk Foundation Research Center at the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Copenhagen. The overall scientific goal of the center is to develop new stem cell-based therapeutic approaches, currently in the area of diabetes and cancer. We are seeking a service minded and conscientious attendant to handle various practical tasks in and around the laboratory. You will be part of the administration and will work closely with the lab manager and another attendee. Employment date January 1st 2016 or upon agreement.

Your tasks will include:

- Various tidying and cleaning tasks in the laboratory

- Washing, autoclaving and cleaning laboratory equipment

- Unpacking and stocking up deliveries

- Ordering of basic supplies for the lab

- Collect and dispose of laboratory waste

- Collect laundry and pick up clean supplies

We expect you to work approximately 10 hours per week.

Your qualifications and personal skills:

You are stable, responsible, and detail oriented.

You approach your task systematically and you can work independently and thoroughly.

You are service minded and conscientious and enjoy working in a multi-cultural research environment.

You are able to communicate in English.

Experience in working in the GMO laboratories is an advantage.

Employment conditions:

Employment conditions will be in accordance with the Collective Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Organizations of Public Employees – governmental institutions (the OAO-S collective agreement) and under “Lager og –handelsarbejderne i hovedstaden”, hourly wage Dkr. 136,42.
