Aseptic production specialist, optimisation and development projects
Novo Nordisk A/S
Kalundborg, 1 stilling
- Production Support
- Denmark - Kalundborg
Do you want to be a defining force in one of the most innovative departments in Novo Nordisk? Do you want to be setting the standards of the future, and work with dedicated and resourceful colleagues to better the lives of people with diabetes in more than 180 countries? Are you ready to be recognised as the specialist on sterilisation procedures that you already are, and take responsibility on a level that matches your expertise? If so, we can offer you a crucial position as our new wash and sterilisation specialist, where you will be playing a major part in optimising and developing our processes and equipment.
About the department
You will be a key player in our Aseptic Production Support and Optimisation team. Here, 15 colleagues with both technical and academic backgrounds are looking forward to your arrival. Our main focus is on providing support to our production facilities – we play an important part in optimising equipment and processes, and when something unexpected happens, we provide the resources to identify the cause of the problem, correct it and prevent it from arising again.
An essential part of our work is implementing new technology strategies, meaning that our department is predominant in making sure that new processes and equipment always reflects the state of the art in the industry – so that we can maintain our competitiveness and the highest standards in the production of life-important medicine.
In our department you will find the tone to be relaxed and accommodating, and here - as in Novo Nordisk as a whole - we value the importance of a healthy work-life balance.
The job
Your weekly schedule will be varied and based on your level of expertise in sterilisation processes. Much of your time will be spent together with team leaders, supporters and operators in the production area, where you identify areas with optimisation potential. This will be your primary objective – and through best practise sharing across departments, you will be a driving force in our continuous strive to improve processes, work-flows and equipment.
Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for implementing new technological strategies – you will performe and support the validation of equipment and new facilities, making sure that they meet the strict standards we are subject to. Part of your day will be spent sparring with team leaders and supporters about development, error preventions and optimisations – and when you have conceptualised changes in our operational procedures, you will be the one who trains our dedicated supporters and operators, ensuring they have the relevant skills and knowledge to implement the optimisations you have defined.
When something unexpected happens in the production, you will be a major source of knowledge in the intricate detective work that the identification of root causes and prevention options often is. On the large scale, you will be cooperating with other specialists and experts in a global Novo Nordisk perspective – when you develop a major improvement, you will distribute your innovations to Novo Nordisk facilities across the world.
In other words, this is a position where your dedication and expertise will have an impact on major decisions on how to improve our processes and equipment. We believe that you can make a difference and add to our success story, which is why we are ready to invest in you and provide you with opportunities for personal and professional development that are hard to find elsewhere.
We take pride in knowing that what we do makes a difference to millions of people with diabetes every day. We share a strong sense of responsibility towards the people we provide life-important medicine to, towards the environment, and towards the society as a whole, and every decision we make is accounted for in this perspective.
Qualifications
You hold a relevant academic degree as engineer, pharmacist or chemist – and you have a minimum of six years’ practical experience from aseptic production – preferably from a GMP regulated environment. Through this, you have become an expert on wash and sterilisation of production equipment, and you are eager to expand your knowledge on surface treatment and the mechanics of corrosion.
You understand the regulatory environment well, and know the importance of ensuring compliance with the stipulated specifications in everything you do.
Since you will be addressing many issues of importance during a day, you need to have a robust overview of your field of expertise and a general ability to move effortlessly from topic to topic many times during a day. You can maintain a focus on driving your own projects while being a resource for colleagues and stakeholders. You are consistent in producing results, both when you are working individually, and when you are part of a team effort – and you thrive in both constellations equally well.
Because of your personality and your ability to communicate clearly, precisely and with respect for cultural differences, you are particularly good at building relations across departments and organisational levels and since you will be working with people from around the globe, you need to be proficient in English.
Our site in Kalundborg attracts academics, operators and administrative personnel from an area that covers most of Zealand and Funen. Being an integral part of the local infrastructure, and with 15 factories covering the 1.350.000 square meters, the site is a small city in itself. Here, 2800 employees produce half the global supply of insulin.
At Novo Nordisk, your skills, dedication and ambition help us change lives for the better. In exchange, we offer you an opportunity to work with extraordinary talent and benefit from a range of possibilities for professional and personal development.
