As we’re growing, we are looking for two competent Pharmacovigilance Physicians with great drive and positive energy to fill these positions, one in the Urology & Endocrinology team and one in Gastroenterology & Reproductive Health team.
THE JOB
As Pharmacovigilance Physician you will play an important role in leading drug safety for a key area of Ferring’s portfolio working as an integrated member of a highly motivated and dedicated teams collaborating with clinical development, regulatory affairs, authorities, affiliates and partners for assigned products/projects.
Your essential tasks includes post-marketing surveillance and signal detection, risk management plans, monitoring safety in clinical trials, chairing of Safety Committees, and medical review of case reports for investigational and marketed products. In addition, as part of the Pharmacovigilance Physician team, you participate in cross functional projects of further development of our processes.
QUALIFICATIONS
The preferred candidates have a medical or alternatively veterinary degree, with knowledge from the pharmaceutical industry and experience or interests in drug safety. Furthermore, clinical experience within the mentioned therapeutic areas will be an advantage.
Strong communication and cooperation skills and fluency in English are essential. You must be a highly motivated, self-driven and dependable individual with strong people skills and able to work in teams as well as individually. You are flexible and have a good sense of humor.
THE DEPARTMENT
In Global Pharmacovigilance we are more than 38 international employees responsible for the surveillance of Ferring’s medicinal products and devices. We are organized in two staff functions and three teams. In the Urology and Endocrinology team we are currently 9 employees, and in the Gastroenterology & Reproductive Health team we are 11 employees, working as Pharmacovigilance Managers and Pharmacovigilance Physicians in dedicated project/product teams. The work in our department is carried out in the mindset of the Ferring Philosophy; trust, integrity, commitment and openness.
