Project Manager for Oticon R&D

You do project management in a matrix set-up
In your new role as Project Manager, you will become part of the R&D unit “Systems Engineering & Development Tools”. Here you will become colleague to four Project Managers whose core area of responsibility consists of bringing new hearing aid features from product roadmap level into implementation and verification in specific products.
Typically, you will manage projects with 5 – 15 people from all over the organization. You can look forward to working in an agile setup with a wide range of challenging tasks, but summed up your main responsibilities will be to:
Drive the process defining the project scope, securing allocation of resources and planning of new feature development
Establish the project team
Set the direction for the team and deliver project milestones on time
Align with a range of other projects all delivering into same product program
You will work in close collaboration with the functions Systems Architects in the projects and have resources- but not management responsibilities. You are in effect borrowing resourcing from the various functions to help you complete your projects. We are an FDA compliant company, which of course plays a big role in our way of structuring the work processes.
Engineer with solid project management experience
We expect you to hold a BSc or an MSc in Engineering and have at least 5 years of documented experience in managing cross-disciplinary and highly technical R&D.
Leadership and being able to create a team behavior that works towards one goal with shared successes is one of the attributes characterizing you. Similarly, you navigate easily in a position with multiple stakeholders and interests, and one of your best qualities is the ability to deliver on time, through your engagement, your passion and your ability to influence your surroundings in creating a delivery culture.
