Your Tasks
You will be working as a psychiatrist at a Danish public hospital. The specific tasks will depend on your profile and interests as well as the needs of the hospital.
The work environment will be casual with a tolerant atmosphere and a high level of professionalism. Work is planned in a flexible way with regard for both staff and the department.
Qualifications
- Specialized in psychiatry or about to finish the residency.
- You are an active and committed team-player.
- You have a positive approach to work, thrive on challenges and emphasize interdisciplinary collaboration.
- You like sharing knowledge and teaching others, in particular younger doctors and other staff groups, as a natural and integrated part of your work.
- You are motivated for living and working abroad.
- To be able to help you obtaining your Danish authorisation we need you to:
- Be a citizen of a European Union member state.
- Have a university degree in medicine and medical specialisation (residency) from a European Union member state OR …
- … have a certificate recognising your residency from a European Union member state and at least 3 years of work experience from the same European Union member state obtained after completing your residency.
Languages
You will use the Danish language at work and you will get intensive, free language training to help you reach a sufficient level before starting working in Denmark. To be able to participate in the Danish language course you will need to:
- Be available for participation in an intensive 5-months online Danish course.
- Be proficient in spoken and written English (B2 level or better).

The job:
- Positions are full-time.

The relocation:
- A 5-months free, intensive online Danish language course prior to work start and a 2-weeks Danish medical language programme via Skype.
- As the language course may not be compatible with a full-time job, you will receive an economical support of 1.000 €/month during the course.
- The medical authorization process will be taken care of for you.
- Assistance with the relocation to Denmark and spouse employment assistance.
