By the Radiology Department, OUH Svendborg Sygehus, 3 job as consultant/staff specialist are vacant for occupation. Svendborg Sygehus is a part of OUH Odense University Hospital. For the time being, Svendborg Sygehus is an acute hospital. When the new hospital in Odense is put into operation in 2021, Svendborg Sygehus is becoming a specialzed hospital. In the specialized hospital, there will – among other things – be a large medical department and among other things a diagnostic center and in addition to this an orthopaedic and parenchyma surgical department. Besides the department in Svendborg, the Radiology Department in Svendborg Sygehus consists of a department in Nyborg, Rudkøbing and Ærø. We are looking for 3 consultants/staff specialists for the department in Svendborg. Further to conventional x-ray equipment, the department in Svendborg has two ultrasound scanners, two 1,5 T MR-scanners and two multislice ( 64 channels ) CT-scanners. The department’s medical staff consist of 10 consultants, 2 staff specialists and 6 training doctors ( 2 introduction doctors, 2 reserve doctors in main training 1st year and 2 1st reserve doctors in the 4th year of the main training ). The department has days covering acute function. The duty is 9 shifts, weekdays with presence guard until 21.00 o’clock followed by availability from home and weekend presence until 17.00 o’clock followed by availability from home. Every consultant have fields areas and fields of interest, which is taken into consideration in the planning of the daily work. It will be possible to research and development. The department in Svendborg perform app. 115.000 examinations per year – of this app. 12.000 CT-scans and 10.000 MR-scans. We want the positions to be filled with radiology specialists, who is broadly educated. However, there will be an emphasis on special interest in UL, CT and MR.
