We are looking for a Business Controller for our Finance team to help us drive financial processes, internal reporting and business development opportunities. You will have real impact on decisions and you will be able to see actual results of your work.

About the department

Corporate Facilities is part of Finance, Legal and Investor Relations in Novo Nordisk. We are responsible for building projects, facility related services, space management and security throughout Novo Nordisk in Denmark. We consist of around 300 employees and are responsible for approximately 1 000 outsourced positions within our area of responsibility. The Finance team in Corporate Facilities currently consists of eight dedicated employees with financial backgrounds. Our work atmosphere is informal but ambitious, with expectations for solid and dedicated performance.

The position

As Business Controller, you will be responsible for partnering with a department in Corporate Facilities to perform, drive and develop financial controlling, budgeting and internal reporting. Work tasks include consolidation and finalisation of internal reporting, monthly managements meetings with focus on financial business partnering, consolidation and finalisation of business plans, financial forecasting, and monthly closing and variance explanations. Further, you will engage in cross-functional finance projects focusing on business development, help develop and optimise financial processes, and deliver ad hoc financial analyses.

Qualifications

We only hire the best. We expect you have completed a relevant degree (i.e. cand.merc, cand.oecon or equivalent) with excellent results. Preferably you have 3-5 years of experience working with controlling, budgeting and reporting in a medium or large sized organisation. You have a self-starter mind-set and a track-record of identifying opportunities and implement solutions. You partner effectively with organisational stakeholders to drive business development.

You have strong analytical skills and show a strong sense of responsibility, fully owning your work tasks while driving performance and continuous improvement. You have experience working with a major financial system, especially SAP, at a high level. In addition to being fluent in written and spoken English, as well as a Scandinavian language, you should be a proficient user of IT tools and ready to invest both time and efforts in your personal and professional development.
