About the department
The Microbial Competence Centre (MCC) with 20 employees is a high-performing scientific department in Diabetes Finished Product (DFP) Quality control (QC). Our main tasks are support of our global production sites, analysis of products (injectables and tablets) for clinical trials, and excipients and transfer of microbiological methods on diabetes products to these sites. We perform efficacy tests of disinfectants and preservatives, Growth Promotion Test of media, Sterility Test and Endotoxin Test on our finished products and viable counts of various water and product samples.
The job
As associate manager, you will have the overall responsibility for your team in all aspects. You will primarily spend your time on people management activities such as 1:1 meetings, goal-setting and individual development of employees. You must secure followship for your clear communicated directions and be able to manage business complexity on a high level. In addition you must ensure your team is in compliance with internal and external requirements and get involved in technical/professional cases, when a decision or prioritization from a leader is needed.
Qualifications
You have successful experience with people management and know how to manage and motivate a highly specialised team. You have a minimum of four years’ experience as a microbiologist from the pharmaceutical industry e.g. microbiology, analytical support or quality. You have a solid knowledge about microbiological analysis hereunder data analysis as well as knowledge about GMP and aseptic production processes. You have a degree within natural sciences (Master Science in microbiology, pharmacy, human biology or equivalent).
As a person you are optimistic, energetic and passionate in relation to your job. You have excellent people skills and your leadership style is characterized by high empathy and the ability to set direction and motivate your team to high performances.
You have good communication skills and you are a well organised, responsible, independent team player. You are able to prioritise tasks and work under pressure when needed. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, and you are an experienced user of MS Office.
