Do you have a broad understanding of suppliers and procurement from the manufacturing industry? Then take this once in a lifetime opportunity to learn and grow, as you liaise between colleagues in China and Denmark – all to reduce complexity and deliver great collaborations. In this new position, you start your career in ECCO by travelling 4 months to our Global Vendor Management department in China, where your functional leader is based. You do so to understand our vendor management processes and return to work at ECCO in Bredebro, Denmark, to enable strong collaborations between our vendors, production and the Danish-based R&D team. Additional training related to our production will be planned. Job Profile: Essentially, your job is to create a closer cooperation between R&D, our production and the entire material value chain. Thus, you play a key part in ensuring the right vendor set-up and by continuously improving our internal work processes. As such, you create opportunities to improve total delivered cost within the materials category, while ensuring compliance with sourcing best practice. More specifically, you: •Join early negotiations with new suppliers, both to negotiate favourable conditions but also to generate an understanding of the ECCO set-up. •Work on contractual agreements related to, for example, the ECCO Code of Conduct, our Co-operation agreement and Restricted Chemical Substances list. •Become responsible for supplier relationship management, identifying new opportunities, looking into performance issues as well as processes and communication flows. •Make sure that supplier information is maintained and correct, just as you keep an eye on our policies and procedures to ensure that we act in accordance with our quality compliance. •Continuously perform supplier assessments and anticipate supplier and manufacturing issues to take prompt action and minimise repercussions on production and ensure continuity of supply. Qualifications and Work Experience: To manage our global vendors, you will need great communication skills, a knack for negotiation as well as strong analytical and strategic skills. And with the Vendor Management team in China, you will also need to be motivated to work on your own initiative, as you are placed in Denmark. Also, you really thrive by enabling and encouraging cooperation, using your superb interpersonal skills to make colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers come together. Your qualifications: •You have 5+ years of experience in a regulated manufacturing industry. •You exhibit a broad understanding of procurement/sourcing, have dealt with suppliers or technical/commercial issues and can communicate with production units to streamline processes. •You most likely hold a degree within procurement or supply chain management, and any degree within engineering or business is a plus. •You are able to travel 50 days a year (and move to China for the first 4 months of employment), and you speak and write English fluently. •You have experience from working with other international cultures – having worked with Asian vendors will be an advantage. We offer: We offer a challenging and varied job with a high degree of freedom to act in an international company that is constantly developing. We are characterised by an informal environment and close cooperation, where good initiatives and ideas are highly valued. You apply through ECCO.com. Please remember to attach your application and a current CV in English. We look very much forward to reading your application.
