Join our skilled NPI team
You become part of our Global R&D department where we work on software, hardware, firmware, mechanics, process validation and user experience. More specifically, you will join the NPI Team consisting of 4 professional colleagues who work first hand with product development focusing on mechanics and process validation.
Be in charge of the overall mechanical design on new projects
You will be the Lead Mechanical Engineer on projects, handling all mechanical aspects throughout the entire product-phase – starting from initial concepts to final Box-build on site. As such, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the overall project, as your area of responsibility is what ties the entire product together. As we do ‘high mix – low volume’ mechatronics products, your work day will be versatile as you:
• Work with 3D construction
• Carry out design verification and implementation
• Manage the contact to suppliers and order tools
• Create parts lists
Your work will take you travelling up to 25 days a year, primarily to the US and Asia, and you will be dedicated to several projects at a time, which asks for your ability to keep an overview and get things done.
Mechanical Engineer with 3D modeling experience
You are a Mechanical Engineer or have a similar technical background with experience in 3D construction. We use ProE/Creo 3D modeling. Additionally, you have:
• Knowledge of ‘high mix – low volume’ business
• Knowledge of material and an understanding of BOM
• Knowledge of plastic tooling as well as Plastic 3D modeling
• A good project understanding
• Excellent English skills, verbally and in writing
On a personal level, you are a great communicator who is not afraid to give your input when brainstorming. Moreover, you have the personal drive and team spirit required to tie together the mechanical threads that make up the product and a successful project completion.
