TELUS International is looking for a Director of Design to join the AI team in Tampere, Finland. The Design Director will be leading our talented Design Team responsible for our AI Product ecosystem. The ability to quickly interpret business needs and turn them in creative solutions that would enable a great user experience is top in our qualification list. The Design Director often works under tight deadlines while overseeing multiple projects and teams. Great communication skills, especially when it comes to relaying creative concepts to design, product and engineering teams, as well as company stakeholders is a must.
High level responsibilities
- Lead, develop and coach the UI/UX Designers in the AI Product team
- Oversee and support individual career development
- Work closely with the Product and Technology leads to define product strategy and vision
- Build the design system from the ground up and make it accessible to all teams
- Establish and maintain tools and methods to ensure design consistency
- Create the overall design vision working together with branding and marketing
Qualifications
- 10+ years experience in Design (UI/UX/Product)
- 5+ years experience as Head of Design
- Vast experience in digital products: mobile and web applications
- Experience in fast-paced and growing start-up environments, such as product companies, growing startups
- Experience from working in an international context
- Proven ability to direct, mentor and inspire designer teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
